I have now Vimeo channel! I'lll still upload most of my material to YouTube, but some videos are going to be also in Vimeo!
My first video in Vimeo is yet unpublished clip about freight train 7011. It arrived with high speed, so breaking was noisy. Clip is filmed during autumn 2018.

Train summer
Train summer is over and here is one photo per every place, where I visited.
So this summer has been very abundant, but not only with trains. I have spotted lots of buses, and at july some metro trains too, like in Helsinki's metro depot!

Abandoned tracks, track inspection and... SHUNTING IN MIKKELI??!!
Mikkeli's freight traffic is dead. In "good old days" Mikkeli had several industrial tracks.
Tuppurala industrial track
Last trains were to plywood mill in 1986. Demolished in 1990s. I've made video about it, and in my finnish website is photos.
Pursiala industrial track
To power plant was still traffic sometimes in 1990s. Switch removed in 2004. I will make video about it soon. Photos in here.
Tusku industrial track
Traffic ended and track closed in 2001. Demolished. Something might be coming soon.
Imbregation's track
Track was closed in 2000s. Sidetracks demolished.
Mill's track
Closed maybe 1960s. Demolished.
Hankkija's track
Still in use in 1980s. demolished.
Track inspection
Track geometry car visited in Mikkeli again. In next year new track inspection train will come, and this one will be abandoned.
And then... Shunting in Mikkeli?!
As I said freight train traffic in Mikkeli is dead since 2012, but in Mikkeli is now russian wagons standing and waiting for moving to Pori. One train leaved today and other will leave in thursday. I have filmed today's train and video will come to Youtube tomorrow in 12.00 (UTC+2, finnish time. In UTC-time it's 10.00)

Snow work, transferms & other traffic
Hi! Here is some photos from Mikkeli and Joensuu.
Snow work in Mikkeli. Done with excavator by Destia rail. Last winter there was VR-Track's excavator, and before it Mikkeli's shunter. That was about few years nearly all what shunter done in Mikkeli.
Rest in peace, Mikkeli's shunter.

First text! 2x Sr1 + Controller car + prison car in Mikkeli 15.12
I've made new blog for train and bus photos.
InterCity 65 in Mikkeli's railway station with two Sr1 electric locomotives and prisoner-carrier car.
InterCity 65 in Mikkeli's railway station with two Sr1 electric locomotives and prisoner-carrier car.
This train goes From Helsinki Central via Lahti, Kouvola, Mikkeli, Iisalmi, Kajaani and Paltamo to Oulu. Train has sometimes prisoner-carrier car for moving prisoners between Mikkeli and Sukeva prisons.
This trains has controller car too, but it could be used only with Sr2- or Sr3-locomotives and in Kouvola-Oulu-line trains are mostly drived by Sr1-locomotives, so this train is usually drived by Sr1+Edo (Controller car type is Edo), and now becose prisoned transferm, front of cab was another car!
